Well as of right now....
I am still unemployed but going back to school in January to become an imaging aide and the get my ultrasound tech certificate.
DJ Tiny Entertainment is up and going officially as of February. September and October have been pretty good months for business.
I just had my gallbladder removed. I was informed as I got laid off after Hope was born that I had huge gallstones that would not pass and eventually I would need to get my gallbladder removed. Well the time came, I was hoping it would be after I had got health insurance back but that wasn't the case. About 2 weeks ago, I started getting these horrible pains in my chest. They hurt so bad I thought I was having a heart attack. The pain then would last for hours. I had about 3 of these attacks and then found a surgeon that would remove my gallbladder (THANK GOD!) So this last Thursday, that's exactly what happened. The surgeon told Pete that my gallbladder was definitely the reason for my attacks. It was an outpatient surgery and I was home by 3:30pm. The only really hard part is that I can't lift Hope for 2 weeks.
Hope is SO CLOSE to walking. She never really crawled just scoots around on her butt. I am really hoping that she walks by Halloween. :)
That is what is new in our part of the world......for now that is!

Time is flying by.....
I can't believe how fast Hope's 1st year has flown by! We had a great 1st birthday party for her at Lake Wilderness Park. Most of family and friends were able to make it and we had a good ole time!
Pete of course had to make his princess 4 birthday cakes! YES! You read that right...4!! He did a great job and they all tasted so yummy!

Here is a picture of Hope shoving her face of the one cake that was ALL for her! Yum!

Okay...its been a LONG TIME
So obviously Hope was born and now its been almost 9 months so here is a quick updated version of when she was born....
On Monday, August 24th, I went in for my weekly doctors appointment. I was informed that my blood pressure was high and I was sent over to the hospital to the Labor and Delivery Triage for some monitoring. After 2 hours, my blood work and other tests came back fine. (they were looking for signs of pre-eclampsia) I was sent home but on bed rest. The next day, I woke up with a headache, so back to Labor and Delivery triage I went for more monitoring and test. AGAIN, they came back fine but I was to follow up with my doctor the next day.
So...Wednesday, I followed up with my doctor. Who then said that even though my tests were not showing anything bad....my symptoms and body was saying something else and maybe it was time to have a baby. Yippee!! At this point, I was 39 weeks along. My lovely Dr. was on call for the next 20 hours so he called the hospital and set it up for me to show up at 3 pm that day to be induced! He told me to go home and take a nap and meet us at the hospital then. TAKE A NAP???? yeah right!
So by 5pm that day, I was on pitocin and my contractions started. To make the story shorter, 22 hours later (and after my doctor had already gone home) I was 9 cms dialated, fully effaced but Hope hadn't dropped at all. The worst part was that because of my high blood pressure I was not aloud to walk the halls or stand to help drop her....it was either the bed or the rocking chair and neither one helped. So at 3pm, the next day the on call doctor came in and said she was going to do a c-section. By that time, I was cool with that :)
Hope Victoria was born August 27, 2009 at 3:35pm. She came into this world after 22 hours of labor and pitocin and finally a c-section. She weighed 8lbs 1oz, 20 inches long.
Here are a few photos from when she was first born:

My goal is to get this blog updated of the last 8 months and keep it currently updated from now on.....so I will catch up soon!
