Hello all! Welcome to the Aure-Lane Family Blog!
I thought I would start up a family blog especially with our little one on the way this August/September.
Just to catch everyone up today here are a few facts-
Pete and I found out we were expecting on the morning of December 24th, 2008. It was a super surprise but we are excited.
The original due date was August 21st but after the first ultrasound at 6 weeks they moved it to September 2nd.
On February 24th, I woke up at 1am bleeding. Pete took me to the ER where they found out I have Placenta Previa. This is were the Placenta is covering the opening of the cervix (obviously not were it is suppose to be). The baby was good with a strong heartrate of 170 so they sent me home on pelvic rest. At this time, they also moved the due date to August 31st, as the baby was measuring ahead.
Our last appointment, March 18th, we had another ultrasound to try to get the baby's measurements and see the gender. The ultrasound tech was only able to measure the head, legs and spine, all looking good. We will try again on April 10th, to get pictures of the heart, tummy and to try again on the gender.
As of today, I am still on pelvic rest, which means no heavy lifting and no exercise or extra activity. Otherwise known as "Take it easy" motto.
Look forward to some pictures SOON and again welcome to the Aure-Lane family blog!!
Hey, am I the first one to comment? Who knew that I was so cool. This is great, now we can "keep tabs on you". Don't tell us the sex until we do our guessing on the sex, weight etc. Are we going to do one for just the family or what? How are you working it? I wanna play. I really do want to get together with you and go baby stuff shopping.Of course that would probably be more fun once we know what "it" is. Who is that little critter. We just seem to be missing each other on the phone. Hey, did you hear? My little sister is having a baby. YEEHAW!!!!! Hugs to Pete
ReplyDeleteAm I also the second person to post a comment? My coolness factor is just getting bigger and bigger. I know that the shower is a ways off but it will be here before you know it. I'm so glad that you called me awhile back. That made me smile.I think of you often. Truly. Did you hear my little sister is having a baby? Yeeehaw. I know that I already wrote that but it sounds good to "say" love you. Hugs to Pete
